Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Game Development intern to join our team. As an intern for this position, you will gain hands-on experience in game design and development, as well as user experience design and quality assurance testing. You will also have the opportunity to work with experienced developers and enhance your knowledge and skills in creating engaging on-boarding experiences for users.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the consumer electronics industry while honing your skills and contributing to real-world projects. We are looking for someone, who is based in Groningen area and is available for a full-time (40 hours) internship for at least 5 months. We're flexible on the start date beyond those specified, and can accommodate your availability.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design and develop on-boarding game(s) for an all-in-one keyboard for digital creators to minimise the learning curve.
- Research and understand the needs of digital creators in regards to effective and engaging on-boarding experiences.
- Develop game mechanics, assets, and scripts that are tailored to the specific features and capabilities of our hardware product.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++ or C#
- Work alongside designers and artists to create visually appealing and dynamic graphics for the on-boarding games.
- Test and provide feedback on the games' playability, usability, and overall quality.
- Document the design and development process for the on-boarding games, including technical specifications, design rationale, and bug reports.
- Communicate progress and updates to the development team and internship supervisor on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that the on-boarding games effectively showcase the features of the custom mechanical keyboard.
- Continuously iterate and improve the on-boarding games based on feedback from end-users and the development team.
Job requirements
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing an MBO, HBO, or WO degree in Game Development, Game Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Must remain enrolled as a student throughout the entire duration of the internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- You are available for a minimum of 5 months, 5 days per week ( 40 hrs).
- Based in Groningen and is able to commute to the office.
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
