Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Materials & Prototyping Engineer to support our prototyping and product development efforts. In this role, you will operate and maintain advanced manufacturing tools, including CNC machines, 3D printers (resin & FDM), and laser cutting systems, to create rapid prototypes, limited edition products, and influencer specials. Working closely with the manufacturing team, you will contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), quality assurance (QA/QC) standards, and technical documentation. Your expertise will help refine and enhance our products, ensuring they align with Arc’s high standards for innovation and craftsmanship.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines, 3D printers (resin & FDM), and laser cutters for rapid prototyping and small-batch production.

  • Evaluate and enhance manufacturability and cost optimization for new and existing products.

  • Develop and maintain a physical material library, including bio-leathers, metals, and specialized coatings.

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to refine DFM and QA/QC standards and create technical drawings/specifications based on prototype findings.

Job requirements

Your skills & experience

  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining, laser cutting, and 3D printing (resin & FDM).

  • Proficiency in technical drawing creation and DFM analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of materials, particularly metallurgy, alternative leathers, and TPEs.

  • No minimum years of experience required—practical expertise and problem-solving ability are key.

Your Compensation & Benefits

  • 28.800 - 33.600 €EUR per year for 40 hours per week

  • Employee participation scheme (SAR), vesting from day one

  • Travel compensation depending on your location

  • Complimentary Arc products

  • 20+6 paid vacation days

If you are interested in this role and have many, but not all, of the skills/experience desired, we still highly encourage you to apply. You may still be the right candidate for this or other opportunities with us.
